Isomax Clip: Single Clip
The defining feature of the IsoMax is that the channel never touches the clip's metal body. The neoprene isolator sits in the load path, so structure borne vibration entering the framing is not passed to the finished surface.
Load depends on the channel
The clip is rated at 36 lbs per clip with 25 gauge hat channel and 48 lbs with 22 gauge. The heavier channel raises the working load, which matters when two layers of drywall are being hung.
Installation
The clip is flexible enough to snap around the hat channel by hand. For a two layer drywall build the clips are spaced no more than 48 inches along the channel, with channels no more than 24 inches apart.
