Furring Channel 7/8 inch 25 Gauge 12 ft
Hat shaped furring channel, 7/8 inch profile, 25 gauge steel, 12 foot length. This is the channel that isolation clips carry and that the drywall is screwed to.

Furring Channel- 7/8", 25g, 12FT-SINGLE
The clips do the isolating, but they do not hold drywall. The channel spans between clips and gives the drywall a fixing line. If the channel is wrong the whole assembly is wrong, no matter how good the clips are.
Why 25 gauge matters
Channel gauge affects the working load of the clip system. Some clips carry a lower rated load on 25 gauge than on heavier 22 gauge channel, so the channel and the clip have to be chosen together rather than separately.
Installation detail that gets missed
The channel must not touch the surrounding structure at any point. If a channel end is hard against a side wall, or a screw is long enough to reach the stud behind, the decoupling is bypassed at that point and the result drops noticeably.

Worth knowing. Channel is ordered by the run, not by the room. We measure the layout so the lengths land where they are needed and the joints do not fall in awkward places.
