Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound 12 Tubes
Case of twelve tubes of Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound, the damping layer that goes between two sheets of drywall to stop the panel resonating.

Green Glue: Case of 12
Sound striking a wall makes the drywall vibrate. A viscoelastic layer sandwiched between two sheets allows them to move fractionally against each other, converting that vibration into heat instead of passing it through to the other side.
Where it fits in the assembly
Damping is one of the four things a soundproofing assembly does, alongside mass, decoupling and sealing. It is most effective on the mid and low frequencies that added mass alone struggles with, which is why it is standard on almost every wall and ceiling we build.
Planning the quantity
Two tubes per sheet is the normal rate, so a case covers around six sheets. Ordering short is the most common mistake, because the second layer cannot be fixed until the compound is on it.
